For the past 22 years, Ken Clay's vision and entertainment production has brought over 100 acts, representing cultures from all over the world, to Louisville over the Labor Day holiday. For the past two years, Jou Jou Papailler and Jou Jou Presents have continued Ken's vision. This year, we were proud to add more young artists than ever before.
Thanks to the vision of Evon Smith and the One West board for the third year, Winter Wonderland brought over 200,000 Christmas lights and displays to Shawnee Park. Thousands of visitors drove their cars through the park to witness the beauty of Winter Wonderland. For the 2024 lights festival, One West asked Jou Jou Presents to produce the event. Visitors experienced the light show they were used to, but the Jou Jou Presents team added a live choir (streamed through the cars) and Christmas characters, along with the expected laser light show, step teams, and a drum corps.
For over two decades, Waterfront Park has brought fireworks and entertainment to the public on the 4th of July. For the 2024 event, Waterfront Park asked Jou Jou Presents to produce the event. The team created "Waterfront's Most Talented", and 26 of some of the most talented performers from around the region sang, danced, and played for the 10k plus visitors. As an added bonus, D'Corey Johnson from America's Got Talent sang the National Anthem, and Lana Scott from the Voice capped the night off by singing her new single "Bigger Than Me". Of course, the night couldn't have been perfect without the fireworks!
